My 102nd sneaker mask was created for up and coming recording artist Kasey Framez. Made from a single pair of “Terracotta Warrior” LeBron 11s, the mask will become part of his musical persona as he prepares his debut album. Kasey came out to the Bay Area for our photo shoot and I talked more with him about his concepts. By focusing on the fusion of art and music Framez hopes to remind us of the golden days of Hip-Hop where B-boys, DJs, graffiti writers and emcees reigned supreme.
Inspired also by comics Kasey asked the mask have a Batman Thrasher suit vibe. The one most would recognize from Superman V. Batman, this is the image that came to my mind however:
You’ll see the likenesses most in the lens, grill and ears. We shot the mask in Richmond, CA – much love to the good folks at 1AMSF for the recommendation. Check out the gallery below and come back tomorrow to see more!
This mask has of course sold, you can find out how to commission your own custom sneaker gas mask by Freehand Profit on FreehandProfit.com or by clicking here. Check out ShopFreehand.com for available artwork.
