Being an avid fan of Nike Air Max sneakers, 1s and 90s especially, I’m happy to bring you another Air Max first in celebration of Air Max Day today. So strap on your favorite visible air unit and take a look at the long over due, very first Air Max 1 gas mask by Freehand Profit. The 110th sneaker mask releases one year after the release of the first Air Max 90 gas mask on Air Max Day 2015. Of course there’s also the Air Max 95 gas mask and the Atmos 90 gas mask as well. Rest assured ( or not ) that more Air Max masks are also in the works.

And what a way to bust out the gate, drenched in gold. I chopped down a pair of Women’s Liquid Gold Air Max 1s for this, but maybe shed one less tear since they were B Grades that hit the outlets after all. Made from just 1 pair the mask pulls inspiration from the Greek myths of Artemis and her Golden Hind – which although female, had horns and hooves of gold, fast enough to out run an arrow. Also known as the Ceryneian Hind ( hind being a word for doe ), the hero Heracles’ third task was to capture the elusive creature. Are you seeing where I’m going here… faster than an arrow, running shoes. Capturing elusive creatures… hunting for rare pairs of kicks. I trust y’all can do the math. Enjoy the gallery below:
