Normally new masks are released every 1st & 15th but I got a special piece to share with you today. I started this month with a tribute to Wu Tang Clan, fittingly because September is the 9th month (Wu Tang Clan being made of 9 deadly emcees). Sebastian Bleak and I made it to Rock The Bells on Sunday just in time to catch them hit the stage. And (just like back in March) thanks to @SHO714 we were able to meet up with Method Man after the show so that I could present him with this mask made from the classic white Air Force 1s.
It meant a lot to me to be able to present this piece to Method Man, who has been a tremendous influence on me through his music. For years my sneaker collection revolved around all white AF1s so I couldn’t ask for a better pair to transform for the Ticallion Stallion. @SHO714 helped put the cherry on top by supplying the metal Wu tags (taken off some classic Wu Wear denim).
Big thanks to the homie Julio aka @chewlio for modeling this piece. Thanks to Sebastian Bleak for riding out with me to Rock the Bells, glad he could be there especially since he was there at Rock The Bells in 2004 (mere months before the world lost the great Ol’ Dirty Bastard- this year’s hologram was cool but ODB was such a unique soul there’s no way to truly capture his essence). Thanks again to @SHO714 for the assist and to his lovely lady as well (@Phantasy823) for snapping some great pics as it all went down.
