March 18, 2011 – Fighter Plane Mask
None of today’s fighter jets have the style and attitude of the WWII fighter jets with the shark teeth painted down the nose. One of my favorite toys growing up was a G.I. Joe A-10 Tank Killer painted yellow with tiger stripes and that menacing smile. The look originated from a squadron of the British Desert Air Force who flew Curtiss P-40s in Africa in 1941.
